It’s tough to pick a favourite established, but I’m specifically partial to the main part of a marathon 1986 recording of Jim Burgess in the Saint, a members-only gay club on Manhattan’s Reduced East Aspect that ran from 1980 until eventually 1988. An acclaimed remixer, Burgess provides a producer’s cautious feeling of pacing on the decks:
